Jetstar Asia A320 aircraft Jetstar Asia launches Osaka-Taipei-Singapore services
Singapore based budget carrier Jetstar Asia Airways (3K), part of the bigger Jetstar Airways Group (JQ), has announced during a press conference held yesterday at Kansai Airport, Osaka, its new Osaka-Singapore route, via Taipei, from July 5 with a daily service.
Ticket price is set to be priced from 6000yen to 12,000yen one-way for the Kansai/Taipei sector and from 14,000yen to 28,000yen ongoing to Singapore. It has yet to announce its “special fare” on its introductory flight, where it is typical of a budget carrier to offer a highly attractive low fare to draw attention. It will be using the Airbus A320 aircraft, with single class configuration enabling a total seating capacity of 180 passengers.

AirAsia Airbus aircraft The much awaited arrival of low-cost carrier in Japan; AirAsia X will soon fly to Haneda
Japan finally will see the arrival of a true low-cost carrier happening. Malaysian’s budget carrier AirAsia Group has said that it plans to launch its first flights serving Japan by the end of the year. The flight will be operated by AirAsia X, the long-distance arm of AirAsia, to serve between Kuala Lumpur’s new Low-Cost Terminal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital and Tokyo Haneda Airport, at a frequency of 3 flights weekly. It hopes to increase the frequency making it a daily service. The Japanese government has already allotted landing and takeoff slots to AirAsia X at Haneda airport, soon to open its International terminal building end of the year.
