December1 marks the beginning of the ski season with many tour operators offering their ski package plans starting from this day. It is going to be yet another busy season especially for people in the travel industry, shortly after having the 2 long-weekend holidays in the month of November, it is back to work again and it won't slow down till late February. The Yokoso! Japan tourism board has marked Jan20 till Feb29 around this time every year as the visit Japan weeks promoting their activities.

I have included some basic information of the few brochures offering ski packages so that everyone will be aware of their existence and start pick up a copy and check for good offers. Work is underway to have a section where I gather all the ski offers and be able to allow everyone to check for prices freely.

JAL Ski & Snow Resorts 2008 Hokkaido (departs Tokyo, Osaka also avail)

What are flight package plans?

See the many pamphlets below and this will give you a rough idea. They are usually excursion fares packaged together with a hotel and may also include many other things like complimentary breakfast, dining coupons, tours, entrance tickets, transfer and so on as optional or standard feature. Its purpose is to save you some money bundling everything together.

There are mountainous of pamphlets depicting travel packages with flight related package plans being the highest among all. Below are the JAL TOURS package offers by flight originating from Tokyo only. Most cities will have its package plans of its own. Price can be different with flight originating from one place comparing to the other. Besides they are many other tour operators beside what you see here. What you see below is just a tip of the iceberg.

The phamplets are free of charge and available in half-yearly release or quarterly or for a limited time period. The release may overlap one another and it is not uncommon to see prices fluctuating a little given the same offer with the same departure date. It can be a difficult task for a layman to judge if it is a good offer or not, a customer will only be concern of its total price, whichever the lowest it can bring afterall. But in the eyes of a true professional (only those who are specialized in domestic ticketing), we scrutinize what is being used or offered; can the same ticket be allowed for extension of free stay, can flight be upgradeable, are you given a room on the high floor, an annex building, switching breakfast to lunch possible, and so on. All these are factored into the cost.

It becomes too complicated if I am going to impart you all my knowledge in tickets and make you observe every single details before choosing to place your reservation, for you are just wanting to find something matching what locals are paying for the same thing.
