Best flight deals to Sapporo, Okinawa and Fukuoka

This is one of the longest running good deal offered by Japan Airways Co. (JAW) using Skymark airlines flights. Price to Okinawa starting at 促 23,800, to Sapporo starting at 促 18,800 and to Fukuoka starting at 促 20,800. It striped down to the most basic by offering you just return ticket and accomodation with nothing fancy for its basic plan. You have to pay additional to get breakfast included for certain hotels. It is like a "budget carrier" concept where you pay for what you need unlike full-fledge carrier will dump in everything and you might be paying for things that you actually don't need.

You are allowed up to a maximum of 21 days stay. 1 night accommodation is included for the first night, you can choose to extend the accommodation for the entire length of stay or simply for just the first night. Prices quoted were for twin occupancy and single occupancy is also available. Optional car rental is also available. You can purchase this plan even 5 days before your trip. Not advisable because take up rate is very high. Departure on Fridays and Saturdays sell out fast.

Where to make reservation: sadly you won't find them in your usual JTB, NTA or KNT chain stores but quite a number of smaller vendors do have them. Of course you can always turn to their official website for online reservation (a bit disappointing though but still work). Again in Japanese only.

JR Rail Pass

Some people are asking why there is no mention on JR Rail Pass in this site. This is simply because they cannot be purchased inside Japan, similar to the Visit Japan Air Pass. You have to get them prior to entering Japan from an overseas sales office or agent or the airlines that you have purchased your international flight with. There are also strict rules on its usage and foreigners residing in Japan will not be eligible to purchase. Use this link to check for sales office near you (to purchase an exchange order first before you can claim the JR Rail Pass after arriving to Japan).

For the sake of price referencing, I shall include the price table of the JR Rail Pass. I am not discouraging the use of the rail pass, in fact it is a real bargain and can be a good way to travel around Japan. With the rail pass you will be more incline to make more short trips in your itinerary. However, should you be bringing along your granny or little kids with you, you may not want to spend too much time on the train.

Compare around with package plans that also offer Shinkansen rides and the many exciting flight packages that are so popular with the locals, you may be surprise that there could just be a little price difference only, in return with more precious time. You can certainly consider using a combination of the rail pass with a package offer given a bigger budget or intend for a longer stay.

Golf package plans

I am not sure but perhaps only in Japan you will find such comprehensive golfing package plans available counting to thousands. Though there are many golf courses available, golfing in Japan is generally expensive comparing to overseas. However if you are in my shoe, stucked in Japan and itching to golf every weekend, it is necessary to have a few bibles and to flip through during weekdays or finding common topic with your male Japanese colleagues over lunch.
