ANA GROUP PILOT UNION Threatens Strike on November 18
TOKYO November 16, 2009 – ANA GROUP PILOT UNION, composed of 619 pilots from four ANA subsidiary airlines, has threatened to take 24 hour strike action commencing 00:00 hours on November 18 (Wed), to express dissatisfaction with the management stance in their year-end round of talks. ANA GROUP PILOT UNION consists of Air Nippon Crew’s Association, composed of 465 pilots; Air Nippon Network Pilot Union, composed of 63 pilots; Air Next Crew’s Association, composed of 40 pilots and Air Central Pilots’ Union, composed of 51 pilots.
Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central will continue urgent negotiations with the union to avert a strike. However, should it go ahead 171 ANA* domestic flights will regrettably be subject to cancellation and/ or delay.
Passengers intending to take ANA domestic flights on November 18 are kindly requested to check the status of their flights with the ANA Reservations Center (0120-029-222/ 0570-029-222), on ANA Skyweb (www.ana.co.jp/eng) or by contacting their nearest ANA branch.
ANA and its sister companies extend their sincere apologies for the inconvenience this will cause to customers and appreciate their understanding and patience.

Domestic routes: 18.9 % of a total of 904 flights (138 cancellations, 33 delays)
International routes: none
*Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central operate flights under the ANA flight code.
