Delta Air Lines Announces Tokyo Haneda Flight Schedules, Expecting Demand Also on International Connecting Flights
Delta Air Lines announced its flight schedules from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Detroit and Los Angeles. The airline is scheduled to offer direct access to its 106 destinations from Detroit and 21 destinations from Los Angeles across the United States. The airline plans to start operating the respective new routes from the end of January 2011, pending government approval. Ticket sales meanwhile started on July 18 at the airline’s call center, and through its travel agencies. The routes are to be served by Boeing B747-400 configured with 65 Business and 338 Economy class seats, totaling 403.

Different Approaches Seen to Haneda Departure Pricing: ANA Sets Higher Prices to All Haneda Flights Than Those from Narita, While JAL Quotes Higher on Two Routes
Japan Airlines (JAL) has begun sale of normal discount tickets for the Haneda/Honolulu portion that goes into service at the end of coming October, setting its price level higher than the equivalents of Narita departure. JAL Public Relations Office says the pricing was made taking the Haneda’s geographical advantages and expected demand into account. The Haneda-originating Dynamic Saver Fare on economy class is sold at 65,000 yen or more, 10,000 yen higher than that from Narita. In case of JAL Business Saver 14 on business class, the price is 215,000 yen and up, 15,000 yen higher than that from Narita.
