Tokyo has two airports, Narita International Airport (NRT, 成田国際空港), which handles mostly international flights and is a gateway to Japan for most foreign visitors, and Haneda Airport (HND, 羽田空港), which handles mostly domestic air traffic.
Narita Airport, formerly also known as New Tokyo International Airport, is located in the city of Narita in Chiba Prefecture, about 60 km outside of Tokyo. It consists of two terminal buildings, terminal 1 and terminal 2, with each airline being assigned to one of the two terminals. All Nippon Airways is using terminal 1, together with its other Star Alliance partner carriers. While Japan Airlines is the main operator in terminal 2 together with several Oneworld Alliances carriers. Check here to see codeshare airlines using which terminal building.
